Pordenone earned a huge advantage in the first leg of the Serie B promotion play-off semi-final, winning 1-0 away to Frosinone.
It was a spectacular goal from substitute Luca Tremolada just a few minutes after coming off the bench that made the difference.
He gathered just outside the area with his right boot to control, then smashed a left-foot rocket into the top corner.
Pordenone are in their first ever Serie B campaign, but could be heading for Serie A after this impressive victory against Alessandro Nesta’s Frosinone.
Luca Bardi had kept the scoreline down until then two great saves on Patrick Ciurria.
Frosinone thought they had equalised deep into stoppages, but it was ruled offside.
The second leg will be on Wednesday August 12.
In the other semi-final, Chievo took a 2-0 first leg home lead over Spezia.
