Shaqiri: Liverpool are in a very, very good way to be successful

Fresh from scoring on his first Premier League start of the season, Xherdan Shaqiri has spoken about the Reds' aim to end their 30-year wait for a league title.

The Swiss came in from the cold for the Merseyside derby at Anfield with Everton, scoring the second as Jurgen Klopp's side ran out 5-2 winners.

The following evening, speaking at the launch of luxury jewellery brand ROX's new boutique in Liverpool One, Shaqiri, who is a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Hublot, revealed the atmosphere in the dressing room at Anfield.

“We're very excited,” He said.

“The club is working on the next level as it has for many years now. With Jurgen Klopp we've got a really, really good coach but also a good person, that's also very important for the club to achieve their goals.

“Obviously last year we won the Champions League and nobody know how we came back against Barcelona, it was an unbelievable year.

“This season we've started again very good and we're in a very, very good way to be, I hope, the Premier League winners. We are a team who stay on the ground and takes it game by game.

“If we keep going like this, nobody can stop us. We are in a very, very good way to be successful.”
