Liverpool hero Xherdan Shaqiri could not resist playfully continuing his feud with pundit Gary Neville on Sunday, after downing his beloved former club at Anfield.
The Swiss maestro was the hero of the hour on Merseyside, after coming on as a second half substitute to hit a brace and propel Liverpool back to the summit of the Premier League at the expense of their bitter rivals.
Following the match, Shaqiri was interviewed by Reds legend Jamie Carragher for Sky Sports, and was unable to stop himself laughing at the mention of Neville's name.
Carragher, upon handing over the Man of the Match award to the former Stoke man, joked that his co-pundit Gary Neville was supposed to be giving the accolade but was too scared to come down.
The jibe poked fun at the fact Neville criticised Shaqiri following his Anfield switch, with the pair having a back and forth feud ever since.
Upon hearing the name of Neville, Shaqiri let out a laugh as he accepted the award before speaking into the microphone: 'Tell him I said hello.'
Neville originally sparked the discussion back in June when - speaking during the Russia World Cup - he slammed the winger by deeming him 'unprofessional.'
'I'm not a fan of Shaqiri to be honest with you,' he said on ITV. 'I think that was, to be fair, worse by the fact that he distanced himself from his team-mates as Stoke.
'They were unprofessional last season, Stoke. There's no doubt, and he epitomised it.
'He could score the goal of the tournament and he could have the most amazing game.
'But he could also be there for three matches, do nothing and just amble and wobble around.
'To be honest with you, with him, players like that I can't have. I struggle with it.'
In seven Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season Shaqiri has provided five goals and two assists - along with a further assist in the Champions League.

Shaqiri by all account, is a''luxury .' ' player. He'll need other players to defend and he'll just attack, which is his Forte. Therefore, he'll fit better in pools than stoke.
