Luke Shaw has poked fun at Manchester United team-mate Paul Pogba for his bizarre penalty run-up against Everton.
The France international took 26 steps in his bid to outwit Jordan Pickford but the England keeper guessed right to stop the spot-kick, only for the rebound to be tucked home by the same player.
It prevented what would have been a wholly embarrassing moment for the midfielder, but that still didn't save from social media having their say.
And Shaw decided to get in on the act too, picking up on the hashtag #ThingsYouCanDoDuringPogbasPenaltyRunUp.
The Left back has endured a tumultuous time at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho, finding himself out of favour and being publicly castigated by the Portuguese boss before working his way back into the side this season.
His form has earned him a new contract too, signing a new five-year deal worth £150,000-a-week, and the England international suggested his United ordeal could be played out again in full in the time it took Pogba to take his penalty on Sunday.
'Make a comeback in your career and renew your contract,' he suggested using the Twitter trend on Sunday night.
While his team-mate sees the funny side, Pogba admits that he may need to change his approach in the future.
'I was lucky,' he said after United's victory. 'I always try and destabilise the keeper, maybe they know how I take penalties, maybe I should practise to change it, if the keepers know my step.'
