Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has slammed promotion rivals Leeds, labelling them as 'muppets' after guiding his side to the Premier League.
The Blades secured promotion to the top-flight after Wilder's side beat Ipswich 2-0 on Saturday at Bramall Lane, while Leeds were held to a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa a day later at Elland Road.
Leeds have become the first team in a decade to top the Championship on Christmas Day and miss out on automatic promotion.
And after Marcelo Bielsa's side missed out, Wilder was quick to fuel the fire after Leeds' attempted to play mind games in the race for promotion while his side 'steamrolled' the Championship.
Wilder told United's official Youtube channel: 'We've had one defeat in 13 and I've got muppets from Leeds talking about the pressure being on us,' Wilder said.
'(Patrick) Bamford and (Adam) Forshaw and a couple of others. It's over to you and this, that and the other.
'They got beat seven times since Christmas. We've been beaten once. We've set it up from Christmas to be in the race and we've steamrolled it.
'After the international break, two points a game. That's promotion form right the way through in the pressure part of the season.
'Listen, don't mention anything about bottle and b******s or about us dipping out.'
The Blades, who secured Premier League football for the first time since 2007, celebrated in style on Sunday afternoon as they watched Leeds fail to pick up all three points.

I'm surprised that Chris Wilder has become so agitated by Leeds. He doesnt need to be as his team have been fantastic. No need to refer to them in this way.

Met Mr. Wilder when manager of Northampton. A gentleman and open to talk about golf and football. Hope Sheffield Utd do well in Premiership.

Massive congratulations to Sheffield, have a lot more respect for them after how they treated our fans on Monday, all the best for next season. As for Leeds fans 'taking over Portman road and the town" when get promotion hasn't exactly gone to plan. Hope those hotels are refundable!

"his teammates bounced around!" Would thgat be the traditional intelligent English footballer jumping up and down on the spot? Chris Wilder would be better employed hunting for new players than having a pop at Leeds and showing a complete lack of class because his side will be heading straight back down this time next year anhd he'll have been relieved of his duties!

As a Leeds fan for over 50 years they have blown the chance of promotion. The way they are playing they won't get to Wembley

Leeds were 1-0 up on Wigan with an extra man advantage, they should have put every man behind the ball and hit Wigan on the counter. That is where they lost promotion, as they will not go up via the play-offs.

And both Norwich and Sheffield U did it without resorting to spying

The championship has been brilliant this season. Very unpredictable and now everyone's going crazy with a couple of games to go.
