Joao Pedro stole the show as Brighton batted away a gutsy comeback to win 4-2 against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Brighton took a first-half lead thanks to goals from Facundo Buonanotte and Pedro, the second from the penalty spot after a Jayden Bogle foul.
However, Sheffield United went into half-time on a high after Gustavo Hamer halved the deficit in the 44th minute and William Osula equalised eight minutes into stoppage time.
However, a Bogle handball meant Pedro could convert another penalty after 52 minutes and Brighton's star man sealed his hat-trick with a beautiful strike from the edge of the area in the 67th minute.
Danny Welbeck put the icing on the cake in the 97th minute to send Brighton fans home with glee.
Pedro has now moved onto 18 goals for the season and has converted all 10 of his spot-kicks.
Crucially, Roberto De Zerbi's men are in the last 16 of the FA Cup, whereas Chris Wilder's outfit are out of the competition.
