Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder hailed Jurgen Klopp's "refreshing" attitude after sharing a drink with the Liverpool manager post-match at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Wilder held up the assembled media after the game after sharing a bottle of beer with the Liverpool manager and the Blades boss also revealed the club had sent Klopp some champagne for his achievement of being crowned FIFA's Coach of the Year in Milan on Monday night.
Wilder hailed the attitude of the Liverpool manager and said it was refreshing to chat to the Reds boss after the game in Sheffield on Saturday afternoon.
"I'm not a connoisseur of champagne, I don't really drink a lot, to be honest, but it was great to sit in a room with him," said Wilder.
"We've had a beer and chatted about the game. It's quite refreshing because I don't get that feel with some managers in the Premier League, which is disappointing.
"We've always had an open-door policy here, so it is good to chat. We were after a win and didn't want to just soak up pressure. We had a plan and stability and we rode our luck, even though their chances came from our mistakes.
"We wanted a little bit more and we could have been talking about a big result today. We have to take those opportunities when they come.
"When you play Liverpool, you have all got to play well in and out of possession in our shape. We got the balance right because I didn't want to turn it into a basketball match.
"If I did that, we'd have got murdered, so we have got to look the game and tactically try to organize ourselves to get a result.
"What we can't affect are the individual errors and those in both boxes have cost us. The goal, from our point of view, was very, very poor."

many people didn't understand this coach when you he said i don't want my players to think of exchanging shirts with liverpool players. The coach wanted to avoid his players distracted with the quality of liverpool players by thinking of Salah shirt. alot of small teams when they play with giants they lose focus because of admiration of the big names and ofcourse they tried not to but at the end the mighty reds had to find the way. and ofcourse this manager deserves champagne with the best of the year.

The funny thing is that he banned his players from exchanging T-shirt’s but he went for a drink with his counterpart 🤣
