In the wake of announcing himself to the world with a match-winning brace against Fulham in the League Cup, Brahim Diaz has been hailed as Spain's future by teammate David Silva.
The teenager got the first goals of his professional career on Thursday night as the Citizens advanced to the quarter-final of the League Cup.
One impressed teammate was compatriot Silva, who took to social media to laud massive praise on the youngster.
"The future of the national team," Silva wrote in response to a tweet from Diaz. "Congratulations, star!"

Diaz is the future of football period. Just go watch his videos from the academy. This guy is Messi reborn. So many bright youngsters like Mbappe, Sancho, Rowe, Diaz, Odoi etc coming through. It's insane how good the players in the future are gonna be.
