The international Federation of Football History and Statistics has chosen Diego Simeone as the best club coach of the last decade (2011-2020).
Simeone has worked wonders with Atletico Madrid, catapulting the club into the real elite bracket of European football, and he has earned 152 points in the chart produced by the IFFHS.
Having coached a grand total of 502 matches with Los Colchoneros in that period, he has earned 302 victories, 118 draws and has only tasted defeat 82 times.
He is the coach with the second highest competitive matches as coach of Atleti, behind only Luis Aragones, and in his career in the Spanish capital so far, he has won seven trophies.
The pick of those has to be the 2013/14 LaLiga Santander triumph, whilst the Copa del Rey in 2013 was also a fine achievement.
Along with two European Super Cups and two Europa League triumphs, Simeone has also reached two Champions League finals, although he suffered defeat to Real Madrid in both.

People when they say decade they mean past ten years, simeone has transformed Athletico Madrid and they have maintained to be on the same level in the past ten years.. managed to win trophies with them which they were failing to win.. let's just be realistic here stop saying that klopp has won every trophy available.. klopp has never won the FA cup, the league cup and charity shield...
