Before he took the Atletico Madrid job in 2011, Diego Simeone paid Pep Guardiola a visit to study the way his Barcelona side worked.
However, the Argentine wasn't a big fan of the Catalan's style.
"I loved it because we spoke and I told him to look at this and that," Guardiola said in an interview with Jorge Valdano on Movistar+ when recalling the Argentine's visit.
"And he told me, 'I don't like this, I don't feel it'.
"I said to myself, 'wow, amazing, that's what he's about."
A few years later Simeone went on to take the Atleti job and to come up against Guardiola, who he lost to once when the Catalan was at Barcelona and who he then knocked out of the Champions League when Guardiola was at Bayern Munich.

Having a team that has good players is one thing, knowing how to use them is another. Im sure every team he coached were better after his arrival. So yes, persons agreeing to pep being overrated are talking crap. There is no reason to hate.

guardiola is a good coach no doubt but turning a weaker player to a star is a no for me.....guardiola never bought a player less 50 million pounds and he is in his first 11 City has good players and don't forget city won premier league before his arrival and he was given a enough money to spend, so if you rate it Simenon is also a master class in the game

in as much as i agree that Simeone is not better than Guardiola but i disagree with you that Guardiola turn weak cards to strong cards. All the players Pep have signed were all above average, he doesn't sign average players, in Barcelona, In Bayern and now Manchester City. there is no average or below average player i have seen Pep signed. you can tell me if you have seen.

Why bringing Mourinho into this and What Humanity are you talking about? So you are expecting Mourinho who have won more trophy than Guardiola to visit Guardiola. i don't know your age but the way you sounded shows that you are still very young or probably you started following football not long ago. Simeone have never coach any club in Europe, He doesn't know how it works in Europe nor Spain as a coach and the Atletico Madrid job just came up. Meanwhile Guardiola was in Spain with Barcelona and was also doing well. Simeone needed some experience and help and he went to get it from Pep, Mourinho don't need to visit any Coach cos already he have worked with two successful coaches at that time. In case you don't know, Mourinho was once an assistant Coach in Barcelona. so why would he go to Guardiola?

True to himself... acknowledging the greatness of a senior but try adapting to it is what makes Diego S. a big coach too. We learn everyday and shouldn't be afraid to ask for help but adapt Otto our context too is what makes his perculiarity.
