Sky Sports: Man Utd monitoring Lazio midfielder Basiru

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are monitoring Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada.

Reports suggest that Manchester United continue to have a long-standing interest in AFC Bournemouth's Alex Scott, who AFC Bournemouth have opened talks with over a new contract and consider not for sale this summer. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United will try to break that stance.

As Manchester United showed with Brighton & Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba last season, they are unlikely to push for a deal if they feel a club's valuation is too high – though the Cameroon international remains one of their ongoing targets, but a significant breakthrough in valuation would be needed between the two clubs for a move to materialise.
