PREMIER LEAGUE fans complained of feeling "motion sickness" after Sky Sports deployed a new feature for Newcastle vs Liverpool.
The Reds' entertaining 3-2 win left viewers on the edge of their seats, with 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha netting a last-gasp winner.
Sky Sports also implemented a new feature - referee cam.
Referee Simon Hooper wore a bodycam and was well placed for Ryan Gravenberch's long-range goal.
Sky Sports showed the ref cam angle of the strike as the midfielder let fly from distance, but some fans were less than impressed.
Many complained of feeling motion sickness as they watched the ref's view of the goal.
One fan said: "This new ref cam they keep showing is making me sick, I have motion sickness."
Another added: "Ref cam is absolutely disgusting. Jail for whoever thought that football needed motion sickness."
A third wrote: "That ref cam. Are they trying to make viewers spew up with motion sickness?"
And another commented: "Ref cam giving the whole country motion sickness."
Prem lawmakers decided to bring in ref cam this season after it was used at the Club World Cup this summer.
Ifab had been awaiting feedback from Fifa before deciding whether to approve wider use of the cameras, in case any issues had been raised.
Instead, Fifa refs’ head Pierluigi Collina hailed the impact as being “beyond our expectations”, adding: “We were asked: ‘Why not in all the matches?’ and even more: ‘Why not in all sports?’”
