Arne Slot claimed he won’t lose his cool again with officials after an alleged X-rated rant landed him a two-game touchline ban in the Premier League.
The Liverpool boss told referee Michael Oliver that he would blame him if his side failed to win the title after a 2-2 draw with Everton last month.
Slot was shown a red card, given a two-game ban and handed a £70,000 fine as Oliver claimed the Dutchman said: "If we don't win the league, I'll f***ing blame you."
The Reds head coach disputed the language in his response but did not argue that he said “f***ing disgrace” at one of the assistant referees.
Ahead of tonight’s Champions League last-16 tie with PSG, Slot said: “What I said also in the written report and I can say it one more time.
“The moment it happened I was quite emotional for everything that happened in the last seven or eight minutes and maybe during the whole game. I chose to go on pitch instead of staying calm staying inside and then talking to Michael.
"Now I don't have the same emotions anymore so I think I should set a better example than I set back then and don't go into the situation again.”
Slot didn’t want to pour more on the fire with Oliver also in the news this week after he only initially gave Millwall keeper Liam Roberts a yellow for his horror tackle on Jean-Philippe Mateta. Slot said: “It's clear what I've written and what Michael has written.
“Michael has been in the news quite a lot recently and I don't think it helps if I add something to that now I have my emotions under control.”
The FA also claimed Slot said Oliver "f***ing give them everything", and hoped the referee "was proud of that performance".
Slot admitted his actions were unacceptable in the report.
The commission took on board that he had since made a sincere apology both privately and in public. That led to Slot's fine was reduced from £100,000 as well as the fact he accepted the charge as soon as it was possible.
Slot's assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff was also given a two-match touchline ban and fined £7,000 after the FA alleged he approached Oliver in an "extremely aggressive manner".

Say again, M.Oliver is a useless, over hyped referee whose refereeing has become so, so pathetic. He doesn't even deserve the whistle in a Third Tier match.

Oliver is a useless, over hyped English referee, and because the FA protects them useless refs, they think they're saints. How come he was not charged by the FA for adding 8 mins, not the 5 mins indicated by the 4th official. Well, that's England for you, they think they're superhuman, but it's the toul of others that's made them great....
