Arne Slot claimed Liverpool's performances have not reflected their Premier League returns after they were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Burnley.
Florian Wirtz's first-half opener seemed to have Liverpool in control, only for Marcus Edwards to snatch a point with an arrowed finish in the 65th minute at Anfield.
Slot's side have now shared the spoils in each of their last four league games, but the Dutchman believes the tide will soon turn on the back of what he sees as strong showings.
"I was really pleased to see how many chances we could create today," Slot said after Saturday's frustration.
"It’s worth a lot because it does give us the confidence that in other games, eventually we will win those games, because it cannot go on like this.
"But I say this for quite a long time now: I think almost every game we play we are able to create more than the team we face, but we don’t have the points we would like to have."
Liverpool attempted 32 shots against Burnley, their most in a Premier League game since they had 37 against Brentford in January last year.
The Reds' 11 shots on target also marked their highest tally in the competition since December 2024 against West Ham (13), and their most in a home game since managing 13 against Bournemouth in September 2024.
Slot's side should have taken the lead before Wirtz's opener as well, with Dominik Szoboszlai slamming a penalty against the crossbar after Florentino felled Cody Gakpo.
Hugo Ektike then saw a second-half finish ruled out for offside and handball after Edwards' leveller, adding to Slot's frustration.
“Sometimes there was accuracy [with shots] but the ball was cleared off the line by one of their defenders," he added. "We’ve spoken a lot this week and in recent weeks about facing low blocks and how we can create more, and I think today we did.
"Sometimes in a low-scoring sport, things like this can happen that you are the better team — which is normal for Liverpool to be, at home against Burnley, let me make no mistake about that — creating enough, but not able to win."
Wirtz, at least, continued his own impressive run when gliding onto Curtis Jones' smart offload before thrashing into the top-left corner for the opening goal.
The Germany international has produced six of his nine goal involvements for Liverpool since December 20 (four goals, two assists), with no Premier League player having more in all competitions in that period.
But Wirtz echoed Slot's annoyance as Liverpool failed to make their superiority count, having accumulated 2.96 expected goals (xG) to Burnley's meagre 0.4.
“Very frustrating. We had a lot of chances, enough chances to decide the game early and we missed that today. Very disappointing," the former Bayer Leverkusen forward said.
“With Hugo’s goal, which was offside I think, we were unlucky in a few moments. We have to be better in front of goal.
"There weren’t so many big, big chances but in the end we scored only one goal but that was not enough today."
