Slot urges caution as Liverpool prepare for Osimhen threat

Arne Slot says his team will take the necessary precautions to deal with the threat posed by Victor Osimhen but insists the striker is not the only danger his side must be wary of ahead of their upcoming clash.

Speaking about preparations, Slot acknowledged Osimhen’s quality but stressed that facing top players is a regular challenge, especially in the Premier League. According to the Dutch manager, his defenders are already familiar with the Nigerian forward’s strengths.

“Our centre-backs know him as well,” Slot said, noting that Virgil van Dijk may have previously faced the striker during his time at Napoli.

Slot, however, emphasized that the focus will not be solely on Osimhen. The Liverpool boss pointed out that reaching the last 16 of a major competition means every team possesses several quality players, and his squad must remain alert to the overall threat rather than a single individual.
