The brother of Sofyan Amrabat has insisted that Casemiro wasn't injured for the FA Cup Final, but chose to sit it out after realising he wasn't starting the game.
The Brazilian was omitted from Man United's starting line-up for the season's showpiece, with Erik ten Hag claiming he was not 100 per cent fit for the match.
In his absence, the Red Devils pulled off a surprise victory over their rivals Manchester City to win the trophy and book their place in Europe for next season.
After the game it was reported that the midfield was hurt my Ten Hag's decision to axe him from the team and now, former Watford player Nordin Amrabat, brother of United's Sofyan has revealed Casemiro wasn't injured for the final.
Speaking to Z Select, Nordin revealed that upon hearing the news that he wasn't part of the squad, Casemiro decided he would just sit in the stands and watch his teammates.
He said: 'Casemiro was not injured in the FA Cup Final. He found out that he wouldn't start, so he thought to himself, okay I will sit in the stands then. He was fit to play.'
The 32-year-old had played the last ten games for United, including playing as makeshift centre-back as United's injury crises deepen in that position.
However, he was snubbed for the final, in which goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo sealed the win over their noisy neighbours.
Amrabat's revelation will only add to the fuel of speculation over Casemiro's future, and whether or not it lies at Old Trafford.
He has already been linked with a summer move from the club, with three clubs from Saudi Arabia interested in securing his services.
Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qasidiy are said to be vying for his signature and will reportedly be back in again for him this summer.
With all three clubs prepared to offer him a better package than the £350,000-per-week that he earns at United.
Following United's win over City, was nowhere to be seen for the celebratory parties, and instead jetted off on his summer holiday with his family,
With his wife, Anna Mariana sharing photos of the couple on a flight with their two children, Sara and Caio.
This all comes after a season of disappointment for the Brazilian, who has been criticised on a number of occasions over the campaign.
Despite playing 32 games, scoring six goals and contributing three assists, Casemiro has failed to live up to expectations of his first season thanks to a series of sluggish displays.

What is the big deal in this seff? The manager knows his squad better and chose a winning team for the game. If he had lost that match the entire media and useless man u fanbase and pundits would be on him wanting his head cut off without a machete! Applaud the coach for his bravery and tactics to ensure a win! I remember he promised the players will give in their all to win the cup and they did. Wtf is wrong with people ehhh chai anything u do people must still talk rubbish. I love ETH he’s a brave man and a fighter very few coaches can support what he’s been through this past season the level of criticism is unbelievable! That’s why I love my gaffer Mikel so much cos he doesn’t give a fuck he puts everyone in their place wether they like it or not he tells you it’s a Disgrace and Embarrassing 🙈
