Solskjaer has the second highest win ratio of any manager in Europe

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned Manchester United's season around, and now appears to be on the verge of being named as full-time manager after a huge comeback win over PSG in the Champions League.

Solskjaer has confirmed his Molde contract has been terminated, and held talks with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and co-chairman Avram Glazer on Wednesday.

When United do confirm him as their full-time choice it will be much deserved, as Solskjaer currently has the second highest win percentage of any top European manager this season.

Since taking over the club in December, United have won 82.35% of their games, 14 out of 17, with two draws and just one loss.

Only one manager has a better win percentage this season, and Solskjaer fans won't be happy, because it's Pep Guardiola, manager of arch rivals Manchester City.

Manchester City have a win percentage of 82.6% under Guardiola this season, and of course, he has been in the job a lot longer than Solskjaer. United's overall win percentage, taking Mourinho's early-season reign into account, is much lower.

However, recent performances have propelled United up the Premier League table into fourth, and they're now through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Max Allegri and Juventus are third in the win percentage standings with 80.55%, while Thomas Tuchel and PSG are fourth with 80.48%, slightly lower than they'd like thanks to United on Wednesday night.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is seventh on the list with 65.9%, while Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri is eighth on 65.2%, despite his job being under pressure. Jurgen Klopp (63%) is just behind them on the list in a good showing for Premier League managers.
