Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge as deadline day looms. The England international has been frozen out at Chelsea, leading to speculation linking him with a move to the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

For instance, Arsenal are said to have been offered the chance to sign Sterling in recent days, while Man United have reportedly drawn up a contract offer for the player.

But now, as it stands, Sterling looks set to stay at Chelsea – sources have told TBR Football.

Talks have been ongoing for the Blues winger, but there are no offers on the table.

It remains to be seen if he does stay, and whether he will be in their Premier League squad.

No Raheem Sterling transfer saga on the cards but things could change

Based on TBR’s sources, it doesn’t look as though there will be a late transfer saga involving Sterling and other Premier League clubs.

Quite a few of Chelsea’s top-flight rivals have been linked with Sterling over the past few weeks.

As well as Arsenal and Man United, the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa have also been named as possible suitors.

That said, at this late stage of the transfer window, things can change quickly, and concrete links can emerge out of nowhere.

Considering Sterling has been frozen out at Chelsea, it’s in his best interest to secure a move away in order to increase his chances of first-team football.

What Enzo Maresca has said about Raheem Sterling future

The Chelsea boss spoke about Sterling at his Wednesday press conference ahead of Thursday’s Europa Conference League meeting with Servette.

“Raheem is a fantastic person, a fantastic guy, he trains very well,” football.london quoted Maresca as saying. “The only thing is; every manager has different ideas.

“I said in terms of the kind of winger, he is not one I like but it doesn’t mean nothing if he is not a good player. I think the history and numbers speak for Raheem.

“My advice – he knows exactly what he has to do. He doesn’t need my advice.”

Maresca was also asked what would happen if Sterling stays at Chelsea past the transfer deadline.

“It’s not just Raheem. It’s all the players who in this moment are training apart,” he replied.

“In the moment the transfer window closes, they are not going to get minutes. I’ve already been clear with them and honest and this is the only reason why.”
