Southampton defender Wesley Hoedt has joined Spanish club Celta Vigo on loan until the end of the season.
Holland international Hoedt has not featured for Saints under new manager Ralph Hasenhuttl and last played in late November.
The deal for the 24-year-old, signed on a five-year contract from Lazio in 2017, includes an option for La Liga side Celta to buy him in the summer.
'Hoedt's move will allow him to gain additional playing time between now and the end of the season, while also further helping Hasenhuttl to achieve his aim of trimming the first-team squad this month,' read a statement on Southampton's website.
'The club would like to wish Wesley good luck for the rest of the season.'
Hoedt will link up with fellow Saints player Sofiane Boufal, who is already on loan at the Spanish side.

The guy is a complete trainwreck so I hope that Celta don't expect too much

Got the feeling he thought he was doing the club a favour by being here and that he had a right to be first choice CB. His post Newcastle interview, in which he acted like a petulant child when the team's performance was questioned, typified this. The first to point the finger at everyone but himself when we conceded even if he was at fault.

There might be a good defender somewhere in him but my word what an awful attitude he's got.

Was a decent player at Lazio, they could even still use him today.
