Southampton want to sign Chelsea's Tino Anjorin on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is on a season-long loan at Lokomotiv Moscow who have a £17m option to buy and is recovering from a broken metatarsal.

Anjorin has scored one goal in nine appearances so far for the Russian outfit.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel revealed before the season began that he was 'sad' Anjorin did not get to show his ability in the second half of last season.

Tuchel said: 'I'm a bit sad because he trained so well for us in the last half a year.

'And then the race for the top four was on and there was so many decisive matches every three days.

'So there was not actually the moment to try stuff with young players.'

Southampton have raided Chelsea's academy recently, signing right-back Tino Livramento and 19-year-old Dynel Simeu - who this week moved on loan to Carlisle - permanently.

They also currently have 20-year-old striker Armando Broja - who has netted seven goals in 21 appearances for Ralph Hasenhuttl's men this term - on loan.
