Spurs players are 'not thinking' about Kane being anywhere else, says Gazzaniga

Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga says he is not dwelling on Harry Kane's £200m transfer rumours as the club are only 'thinking of him as a Tottenham player.'

Kane has been privately considering his long-term future at the club for several months, primarily because he wants to be in the best position to challenge for trophies next season.

European giants including Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United are all reportedly lining up to sign the Tottenham talisman, but his Spurs team-mate insists the star striker is vital to the club.

'I don't know the situation of Harry, at the moment he is here,' he told ESPN.

'We are happy with him, of course. He's a player who always gives us goals and points.

'He is always very important for us. We are only thinking of him as a Tottenham player. We're not thinking of him being at another team.'

Kane joined Tottenham in 2004 as a youth player and made his first appearance for the senior side in 2011. Now England captain, he has enjoyed much personal success since fronting up the Spurs attack, subsequently catching the attention of Europe's elite.

Despite personally winning two Premier League Golden Boots and being awarded the top scorer award at the 2018 World Cup for England, Kane is yet to win a single piece of silverware with Spurs.

The 26-year-old revealed the uncertainty over his future earlier this month, insisting he wouldn't stay at Spurs for the 'sake of it'.

Kane has made it clear he will not shut the door on a potential world transfer record move to Manchester United at the end of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering signing Kane to work alongside fellow English strike talent Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

However, the £200m price tag Tottenham have attached to their No 1 striker could be problematic due to concerns over the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis.
