Tottenham star Richarlison has issued an apology to Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli after blanking his compatriot during the north London derby.
Richarlison's Spurs were outclassed 2-0 by their local rivals in the Premier League affair and were beaten at home in the fixture for the first time since 2014.
As tempers began to boil over, the Brazilian forward was seen ignoring Martinelli's offer of a hand-shake but the Spurs star has now apologised and asked his national team-mate to 'hug it out'.
The Brazilian international took to Instagram to share an, edited, image of the two player's wearing a shirt labelled the 't-shirt of union'.
The message on the top said: 'T-shirt of union. If you fight, you must wear it. Apologize. Hug it out. Say "I love you".'
During the match, Martinelli walked over to the corner flag and saw his Selecao team-mate on the touch-line. He offered his hand - in a gesture of respect to Richarlison - but the Spurs star stood there, unmoved.
After the match, Richarlison admitted in an interview - translated by a social media user - that he did so because he believed the Gunners wideman was 'diving a lot'.
He said: 'I'd like to apologise to Martinelli, I told him he was diving a lot, so I didn't shake his hand. Also with Gabriel Magalhaes I told him they were stopping play all the time, I just said, 'let's play'.
The Brazilian forward also drew controversy for his actions towards Arsenal shotstopper Aaron Ramsdale at the final whistle.
Things got heated after the England goalkeeper taunted Tottenham supporters at full-time, kissing his badge and celebrating passionately near the South Stand.
He was quickly confronted by Spurs' Richarlison - who appeared to push Ramsdale in the face - before the keeper was kicked by a Tottenham supporter.
Speaking on the incident, Richarlison said: 'What I really didn't like was their goalkeeper. He was celebrating in front of our fans, that's a disrespect to our fans.
'He should have celebrated with their fans,' he added, despite his own history of diving accusations and showboating while winning.
Spurs defender Eric Dier branded the fan's attack on Ramsdale as 'unacceptable', while manager Antonio Conte said: 'If this type of situation happened, it's not good, it's not positive.
'I think in every moment we have to show respect, if we want respect we have to show respect. Honestly I didn't see it, but if it happened for sure I didn't like it.'
Tottenham forward Richarlison was also seen clashing with Arsenal substitute Takehiro Tomiyasu midway through the second-half.

Stupid apology . Not needed . Martinelli long moved on from Richarlison's stupidity . The earlier he slaps that dirty ghetto attitude out of his life , the better for his character and career . stupid!!! 😎

Martinelli is not the reason you are benched at Tottenham. Sorry they didn't give you the chance to prove yourself.
