Former Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has announced his retirement from football. Bale had captained Wales at the World Cup in Qatar.

Gareth Bale, Wales' all-time top scorer, has won more European Cup / Champions League titles than any other British player in football history.

Gareth Bale scored nine Premier League goals from outside the box during the 2012/13 season, the most ever recorded in a single PL campaign.
