Stats have revealed Chelsea lead in the big chances missed chart as their woful season continued on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino's side were defeated 2-1 by Wolves at the Molineux - their eighth loss from 18 Premier League matches.
The Blues were made to pay for missing gilt-edged opportunities before the hosts punished them by scoring twice to claim victory in the Midlands.
It has been a common theme for Chelsea this season and unsurprisingly, they lead in big chances missed in the Premier League this season.
According to Opta, the west London outfit have created 57 big chances this term and have missed 36 of those.
The most notable miss from the defeat by Wolves came from Sterling, whose effort was saved by Jose Sa after opting to shoot despite having the opportunity to square it to the unmarked Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson
Pochettino rued the missed chances after the match. He said: 'We are talking a lot from the beginning about how this group of players is very young.
'They are young in age and it is their first time in the Premier League. They need to feel the adaptation and, of course, it's about confidence.
'It's also about quality. It's about many things.
'We should score if we want to win the games and now it's difficult because after the game we feel very disappointed.
'We need to learn from these types of games.'
Third-placed Liverpool sit close to Chelsea in the big chances missed charts, missing 34 from 55.
Meanwhile, league leaders Arsenal take 11th spot with 25 big chances missed from 47, with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in seventh having missed 31 big chances from a total of 55.

The question is does the coach correct these mistakes, selfish play and lack of confidence in front of goal ? we also lack discipline and collect too much cards.Coach be up and doing don't sit down with crossed legs and hands in pockets at certain times correct them on the pitch, we are suffering too much.

Let Nkunku and Mudryk start. I saw Lavia, partner him with Gallagher. Badiashile is shaky. He made another mistake for the second goal after one against Newcastle in Carabao cup. Let's get a striker for sure
That Badiashille is very annoying… a defender who’s tackling approach is like that of a pregnant woman… he’s not serious at all

It's not only that Chelsea missed more big chances this season than any EPL team❌ No team has lost more Premier League matches in 2023 than Chelsea ❌
