Stuttgart sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips on season loan

Liverpool defender Nat Phillips has joined Stuttgart on a season-long loan deal after signing a new long-term contract at Anfield.

Phillips will join a Stuttgart side playing in Bundesliga 2 this term, having been relegated from Germany's top flight last season.

The 22-year-old is yet to make a first team appearance for the Reds but was part of the club's pre-season tour of the United States last month.
