Kevin De Bruyne has made his long-awaited return to action following a five-month injury lay-off and is sporting a new hair cut.
The 32-year-old came off the bench to feature during City's 5-0 FA Cup victory against Huddersfield on Sunday, but Mail Sport's Chris Sutton and Dominic King have both questioned whether the new style suits him on Mail Sport's podcast 'It's All Kicking Off'.
While the duo lauded him as a sensational player, Sutton jested that he might have been spending too much time around his tam-mate Jack Grealish or could even be about to release a new song.
He came off the bench to play 34 minutes during City's clash against Huddersfield, his first competitive appearance since their 3-0 Premier League win against Burnley back in August.
He could now be in line to feature this weekend for City, in their trip to play Newcastle at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.
And previewing this weekend's matches, Dominic King claimed that we've got a great weekend of football to look forward to, with Chelsea and Fulham doing battle before Pep Guardiola and Eddie Howe's sides go head to head.
Speaking on 'It's All Kicking Off', King said: 'You'll go from lunchtime at Stamford Bridge up to the north east at tea time, which is another proper humdinger of a match between Newcastle and Man City and we'll see Kevin De Bruyne with his glow up, as we're lead to believe what it is with his new hair.
'Have you done something with your hair this morning with knowing that I'm on? You're looking very slick,' he added to Sutton.
'Yeah. Not a great deal,' Sutton replied, adding: 'Oh, thank you very much. With regards to Kevin De Bruyne, is it a midlife crisis which he's going through, albeit is a little bit young?
'Is he bringing a song out? I don't know what, why? Why the change? Why the Grealish hair?
'He always seems sort of... Just a normal bloke, Kevin De Bruyne. That's a very odd look he's got now, isn't it? I don't think it suits him. Just go back to boring Kevin. Come on.'
De Bruyne enjoyed a shining return from injury, providing an assist for Jeremy Doku with a beautiful lobbed pass.
King questioned his opinion saying: 'Don't you? No, there's nothing wrong. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. There's not wrong with growing it. I've grown my hair a little bit. There's nothing wrong with it.'
'But that's a dramatic change,' the former England striker said, noting the City midfielder's golden locks.
'Had he done it all his career, then you'd sort of say, yeah, I get it. But I don't know, still a great player, but midlife crisis, I think.'
'Well, if we're saying someone's having a midlife crisis at 30, then God knows what it says for us, but it's brilliant to see him back,' King added on De Bruyne's return.
'And that quote from Jurgen Klopp a couple of weeks about Kevin De Bruyne has started running and the whole country started shaking is just indicative of, I think, the way the second half of the season's gonna go.'
Klopp's comments came after Liverpool moved three points at the top of the Premier League after beating Newcastle 4-2, with the German joking that the rest of the Premier League will be nervous that De Bruyne could be set to return to action very soon.
In response to King's comments, Sutton said: 'Yeah, exactly. And I mean, your mob Liverpool have been brilliant so far this season, haven't they?
'But now Manchester City haven't really got going now. De Bruyne is back. New hair. Has he got new teeth? Who knows? Has he been to Turkey? Nobody knows.
'But now he's back. What do we know? He's one hell of a player, isn't he? And we all think that Manchester City are going to go from strength to strength now. He is back in their side, [Jeremy] Doku's back, [Erling] Haaland's coming back. It's all coming together for Manchester City.
'But Liverpool are finding a way as well, aren't they? So I think we're in for a cracking end to the season, I really do.'
King added: 'Yeah, are you familiar with the phrase turkey teeth? Have you heard that?'
'Yeah, I have heard that,' Sutton replied. 'That's where everybody goes to get the hair done. I mean, you'll be there in a few years, Dom, I think, on the plane.'
King: 'I wouldn't have thought so. There's one thing that I wouldn't soothe and that's new hair and new teeth. I'm bad enough as there is. I couldn't inflict anything else on anyone. I'll tell you what though, I will make a prediction. I think City will win comfortably on Saturday night.'
'Oh, you're brave,' the former Celtic striker replied.
King added: 'There's no point coming on and having a debate with you and saying, I'll sit on the fence.
'Oh, I don't know which way it's going to go. I think City will wallop them. I think City will wallop Newcastle on Saturday night. I really do.'

Can't criticise his performance so he'll just say about his appearance. Pundits really grasp at straws these days against city after they've won the treble.
