Already some months ago, Liverpool set up new global collaboration with Sanrio, the Japanese company behind 'Hello Kitty', to launch a special LFC x Hello Kitty collection, in celebration of the character's 45th anniversary.
In Japan, Hello Kitty is described as a gijinka - an anthropomorphic 'non-human' with human traits. Described as a 'symbol of happiness, kindness and friendship', Hello Kitty was created by Japanese designer Yuko Shimizu in 1974.
The Liverpool FC x Hello Kitty range includes a variety t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, track pants and pjyamas suitable for women, girls and babies as well as a Kids kit.
The Liverpool x Hello Kitty collection is available through official Liverpool FC stores and select independent retailers. Prices start from 12 GBP for t-shirts.
