TV revenues in 18/19: Liverpool No.1, Bayern & Juve earn less than Huddersfield

The Premier League's financial power compared to the rest of the countries in Europe has been laid bare after Huddersfield raked in more TV money last season than Bayern Munich or Juventus.

Bayern are one of the super-powers of European football while Juve are by far the biggest club in Italy having won eight consecutive Serie A titles.

But neither club collected television money above the £96.6million rattling around in the coffers of the Terriers just for finishing rock bottom of the Premier League.

The financial power of the English game is such that only two non-PL sides make it into the top 20 of highest earners in world football from TV deals.

Barcelona topped the table in Spain on the back of winning La Liga and earned £128.3m in the process.

Yet that was still only good enough to come in eighth on the European top earners list below Everton.

Real Madrid's TV income of £123.4 sees them slot in tenth in the list behind Wolves, and just a fraction above Leicester and West Ham.

The Premier League is the only one that has full collective bargaining in place ensuring an equal share of the television deals negotiated both at home and overseas.

Liverpool topped the English table by earning £152.4m last season despite finishing runners-up in the league to Manchester City.
