Tanguy Ndombele has claimed that he needed to leave Tottenham in January as he struggled to cope with the manager turnover at the club.
The Frenchman became Spurs' club-record signing when he arrived from Lyon in 2019.
However, he has been unable to live up to expectations, and this led to him moving back to Lyon on loan on Monday for the rest of the season.
During his time at Tottenham, Ndombele has worked under Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.
Reflecting on what went wrong for him in north London, the midfielder hinted that playing for so many different managers had hindered his development, which led to him seeking a fresh start elsewhere.
'I had 5 different managers at Tottenham. I needed something else,' he said, as reported by Get French Football News.
Ndombele exits Tottenham, at least temporarily, having scored 10 goals in 91 matches for the Premier League outfit across all competitions.
His final appearance for the club came on January 9, when he was booed by his own fans for slowly trudging off the pitch after being substituted against Morecambe in the FA Cup.
He was subsequently made to train away from the first-team by Conte, before sealing his transfer back to France on Deadline Day.
The 25-year-old is due to return to Spurs in the summer, and he still has over three years remaining on his contract, meaning that his Tottenham career may not be over just yet.

Other than that I agree with everything else. We could even play 3-5-2 with Kulusevski behind Son and Kane. Depends on how Conte is planning to play Kulusevski

Idk abt Lucas playing Rwb. He’s fast and a good ball carrier. He does have a good defending work rate. But he isn’t rlly a defender. He would get caught up too high bcs he’s used to play up and many attackers would get behind him
