Teden Mengi is the latest Manchester United youth star to be promoted to the first team.
At just 18, the centre-back is yet to make his senior debut but did sit on the bench for United's 2-1 defeat by Astana in the Europa League in 2019.
The young starlet was pictured at training with the first team on Monday, having caught the eye of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of the Premier League return.
Having captained United's U18s to the FA Cup Youth Cup semi-finals and featuring regularly for an older age group in the U23s, Mengi is expected to become a breakthrough star, following the likes of Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood.
Should Mengi be handed his debut in United's remaining 2019-20 campaign games, he could become the first player born in 2002 to play for the Red Devils.
Mengi would add to the pace of Solskjaer's side as he is said to have clocked up the fourth-fastest running speed in the club.
Only Jesse Lingard, Axel Tuanzebe and Daniel James have a faster pace than the teenager.
Solskjaer’s side are back at training in preparation for their first match after the coronavirus shutdown.
United are set to face Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham in north London on June 19 - a crunch match in the race for the top four.
United were in good form prior to the league suspension, 11 games unbeaten in all competitions while Spurs will hope the return of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will help them claim the three points.
