John Terry has congratulated Virgil van Dijk on his PFA Players' Player of the Year award after the Liverpool centre half became the first defender since the former Chelsea star to win the gong.
Terry uploaded a photo of himself alongside his trophy from 2005 on Monday morning onto social media, although he later deleted the post.
The Blues legend uploaded a new post later in the day of himself from his Chelsea days alongside the Reds' Van Dijk.
The caption read: 'Congratulations @ virgilvandijk and welcome to the club. Norman Hunter, Colin Todd, Gary Pallister and Paul McGrath.'
The Liverpool centre back appreciated the post and joined thousands of fans in liking it.
