The 10 Germany footballers with the highest price tag

Kai Havertz is the most highly-valued German player in world football, but what other German players feature in the top 10?

FootballTransfers' transfer valuations are calculated in collaboration with SciSports, a world-leading football analytics agency that assesses the relative transfer valuations of over 60,000 professional footballers worldwide. SciSports use multiple data points including current and potential ability, contract length, form, age, and other crucial factors.

In the summer of 2020 Chelsea went on a spending splurge and bought Havertz from Leverkusen for a fee of around €84 million. He is recognised as one of the best young players in the world and his current value of €80m certainly has the potential to rise further.

Joshua Kimmich is the second most valuable German, at €72m

At aged 26, Kimmich is undisputedly one of the best midfielders in the world currently. Not just a midfielder, he can also be found filling in at right-back, or at wing-back with the German national team.

He has won six Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich as well as three DFB-Pokal trophies and one Champions League.

Timo Werner may not have had the dream debut season he was hoping for with Chelsea, scoring just six times in the Premier League, but his pedigree as one of the elite forwards in Europe remains.

He is the third-highest valued German at €71m.

We return to Bayern Munich for the fourth-highest valued German.

Leroy Sane is in fourth, as even though he didn't enjoy a great debut season at Bayern, his immense potential means his current value of €62m could certainly rise again as he has started to show his huge qualities again.

Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Florian Wirtz is valued at €52m in fifth. Rest assured, that value will probably increase over the next couple of years if he continues to impress as much as he has done in his short career already.

Sane's fellow Bayern winger Serge Gnabry is sixth and has emerged as a wonderful forward since his move to Bavaria, making former club Arsenal in particular look red-faced at letting him go in the process.

He is valued at €52m.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen may not be the first choice goalkeeper for Germany, with Manuel Neuer enjoying that status, but he has age on his side which puts him in seventh, valued at €51m.

Completing the Bayern Munich contingent is Leon Goreztka and Jamal Musiala in eighth and ninth, valued at €43m and €42m respectively.

Rounding out the top 10 is Monaco forward Kevin Volland, who is enjoying a fine season in Ligue 1. He is valued at €39m.
