Paul Pogba is the cover star of the latest issue of the magazine France Football, which tells the Manchester United midfielder: "Time to move on".
The week has begun with the latest instalment in the Paul Pogba-to-Real Madrid transfer saga. In a preview of its next issue, the magazine France Football has revealed that its front cover is devoted to the Manchester United star, with the headline: "Pogba: the Real way forward".
"Pogba should leave Manchester United"
"Paul Pogba, time to move on. A simple observation: yes, Pogba should leave Manchester United," says the summary of the publication, which is on sale on Tuesday. "With Real Madrid linked more heavily than ever with the Red Devils' midfielder, France Football tells you why..."
Pogba and Hazard are Madrid's chief summer targets
As was revealed by AS earlier this month, the 26-year-old France international is, together with Chelsea and Belgium's Eden Hazard, a priority summer target for Madrid as Los Blancos' head coach, Zinedine Zidane, prepares to revamp his squad.
Pogba a fan of Zidane - and the feeling's mutual
Pogba re-emerged as a potential Madrid signing in the wake of Zidane's March return to the Bernabéu. Days after his compatriot's re-appointment, the player raised eyebrows by offering a nod to the LaLiga giants while on France duty, stating that, although he is "happy" at United, "Madrid is a dream for anyone. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is also Zidane as coach."
Zidane picked up the baton soon after, telling reporters: "I like Pogba a lot, it's nothing new. I know him personally. He's a different kind of player, he brings so much and they are few who bring as much as he does. He's a midfielder who knows how to defend and how to attack. He knows how to do everything on the pitch.
"He's not part of my squad, he plays at United, and [about] what he's said about Madrid and his desire to come here: [...] if when he finishes his experience at United he wants to come here why shouldn't he come to Madrid?"
Real Madrid missed out on Pogba three years ago
Having unsuccessfully pursued him in 2016, this would be the second time Madrid have tried to secure Pogba's signature. On that occasion, club president Florentino Pérez's poor relationship with the then-Juventus midfielder's agent, Mino Raiola, scotched the possibility of a deal, and the player finally rejoined United.

Playing mind games with us..Why are these rumours coming while we fight for top 4 and when we are going to play against Barca.. He will dream about the move and didn't give 100% commitment to the team and to be fair it's working nicely..They want us to lose all..

This is already conspiracy theory for a well respected print media to openly calling for Pogba to ditch Utd for Madrid , it's so absurd, shameful and lack of respect for an established entity like Manchester United . France football has gone a step further tarnishing it's image with this single act of dissuading inciting and truncating player's loyalty to his employers , same France football played a dubious role in controversial award of Ballon d'Or recently. Things fall apart "

One thing I've learnt is to never trust, listen to or interact with France Football after they gave Modric the balon d'Or instead of Messi or Ronaldo which is seriously disappointing

Zidane can try this line up with Real Madrid next season... Best lineup for lesser spending... Hazard - 100-150 million Pogba - 150 million Total - 300 million... less than the 500 million budget they were about to implement They can still look for another right winger if they don't want to play Asensio on the right... but cashing in for Mbappe might not be the best option... given he still has areas to improve... he may be a rare talent, a totally exceptional striker, has everything to become the next Henry... but yet he isn't one right now... honestly, he hasn't yet stabilised as a winger...even Henry wasn't the legend (he was about to become in the subsequent seasons) when he won his first world cup, though he was a rare talent at that time alongside Zidane himself... So I think Zidane and Perez will have to go for other options... even Sterling (another tough buy though) can be considered
