Bellingham talks about wanting to play James Bond on American show.
The England star revealed during his guest appearance on James Corden's American TV show that he had been thinking about it, but not in a "celebrity" way. He said he admired the path taken by David Beckham, who played for LA Galaxy and now owns Inter Miami. Corden, meanwhile, said he could totally imagine Bellingham reaching movie star status one day.
Bellingham said: "I'd love to be in movies. You know what? I'd love to be in a James Bond movie. I love James Bond, I've seen every one of them. Even if it's just standing in the background, or a cameo as an extra, I'd be very willing to be a part of it."
Corden then got more excited and asked Bellingham to improvise a few lines. Bellingham calmly said, "Bond, James Bond," and also recreated Jack Nicholson's famous line, "You can't handle the truth," from the 1992 film A Few Good Men.
The two did not end their meeting in Madrid there. After Bellingham and Corden sang "Sweet Caroline" together, they also sat down for a "date" in a scenic setting, where Corden spilled drinks everywhere. Corden also talked about Bellingham's life in Madrid and how much attention he gets there, and suggested he adjust his celebration moves. If the midfielder maintains his current form, England fans might see him add a shoulder shimmy to his usual arms-outstretched celebration when they play Congo (DRC).
The FIFA World Cup knockout stage has begun, and many strong teams are still vying for the world championship. England coach Tuchel hopes to end the team's 60-year wait and help England bring football home. Strong teams such as France, Spain, Brazil, and Argentina are still favorites to win the championship, but Germany and the Netherlands have already been eliminated in the round of 16 penalty shootout. Messi and Ronaldo have also shown no signs of slowing down, and this looks likely to be their last FIFA World Cup.
