There are cruel ways to lose a bet, but Liverpool fan Anthony Johnson knows all about that as he gambled on something that was seconds away from a big cash out.
Johnson went viral in the United Kingdom as he shared his 10 pound bet on one of Manchester United's most derided players.
He bet that he would end the season with zero goals and zero assists, which could have seen him win 670 pounds.
In the end, Lingard went on to score in the 98th minute of the final game of the Premier League season thanks to a mistake from Kasper Schmiechel.
"I never should have doubted the true king, top trolling," he tweeted afterwards.
