Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the biggest stars of football today.
They're the players who make people fall in love, they're both beasts in front of goal. The Frenchman is elegant and unsettles defenders, while the Norwegian is a powerful, goalscoring monster.
Both have shown their best in the Champions League, and not only this past week, and they're ready to take the crown from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano and Messi used to trade blows in Spain, but this week it was the youngsters. Mbappe scored a hat-trick at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, and on Wednesday the Norwegian - admittedly motivated by Mbappe's performance - scored twice and assisted at Sevilla.
Mbappe is 22 years old and knew the spotlight was on him at the Camp Nou. With Neymar out injured, it was time for him to shine.
And boy did he do it. He scored three goals and terrorised Barcelona from start to finish. He could have had more than three, as well. This season he has five Champions League goals to his name.
Haaland is just 20, and he's breaking records at a frightening pace. Borussia Dortmund fell behind at the Stadio Sanchez Pizjuan, but he assisted the equaliser and then scored wo of his own goals, both showing exactly what he can do.
He now has eight goals in five Champions League games this season.
A tough market
It's no wonder that both are wanted all across Europe, but it's hard to know who can afford to sign either of them.
Mbappe's contract expires in 2022, but he's made it clear that, for now at least, he's happy in Paris.
Haaland's deal is up in 2024, and Dortmund won't be negotiating his sale. There are rumours that say he can leave in 2022 for 75 million euros, but they're just rumours.
What's certain is that Europe's elite will come knocking, and they're both going to go on to dominate European and world football for years to come.

These two can replicate the rivalry but the CR7-Messi era is just something special. Two totally different players with different playing styles, different physics and two opposite personalities. One is from Europe, the other from South America. One has the best left foot in history, the other has the best right foot in history. One best plays as right winger, the other best performance from left wing. Both can play attacking midfield and no.9 striker. The most intriguing part was when both played in Spain representing the two biggest clubs in the football world spearheading the greatest rivalry in club football. Almost all the individual records known in the sport, are shared between these two. I think this is why Messi and Ronaldo are widely known and followed more than any footballer there has been, because their differences has been able to represent a wider preference.
