With the recent 64-million-euro sale of Christian Pulisic to Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund proved once again that they are the experts in buying low and selling high.
A key part of their success in recent years has come as a result of making maximum profit on modest investments.
The current Bundesliga leaders are not overly protective of their wantaway stars as they are keen to reinvest profit in the incorporation of even more capable players.
Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona, 145 million euros)
The sale of Dembele to Barcelona was the biggest sale in Borussia Dortmund's history. Just a year after signing from Rennes for 15 million euros, the German club made a 130 million-euro profit on the young Frenchman. The Catalans were keen to bolster their squad after just having lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain and the talented winger was seen as the ideal long-term replacement.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal, 63.7 million euros)
He arrived at Dortmund in the summer of 2013 from Saint-Etienne and ended up replacing Robert Lewandowski as the spearhead of the team following the Pole's controversial free transfer to rivals Bayern Munich. The Gabonese striker netted 141 times in 213 games at the Signal Iduna Park.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United, 42 million euros)
Another big name departure at a high fee was Henrikh Mkhitaryan's move to Manchester United in the summer of 2013. The 42 million paid by the Red Devils for the Armenian playmaker saw a healthy profit for the man who cost the Germans just 13 million euros from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Mats Hummels (Bayern, 35 million euros)
Alongside Subotic, the German international formed a famous central defensive partnership for Dortmund which was why his decision to move to Bayern in 2016 came as such a blow to BVB, but at least they got a healthy 35 million euros for the player unlike in the cases of Mario Goetze and Lewandowski who moved to their rivals on free transfers.
Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City, 27 million euros)
The Turkish midfielder left for the Etihad Stadium in the same summer that Mkhitaryan and Hummels also left the club. After a number of successful years, though many of which were injury-plagued, Gundogan left for just under 30 million euros to join Pep Guardiola's revolution at Manchester City.
Other significant player sales in recent years include Sokratis Papastathopoulos (20 million euros), Matthias Ginter (17), Shinji Kagawa (16), Sven Bender (15) and Nuri Sahin (10), proving that Dortmund really are a money-making machine.

So that means Dormund can buy both Neymar and Mbappe from PSG without any threat from FIFA fairplay, Notwithstanding they have already taking over Arsenal for profitable club from players selling.

they are selling players that would make them a big club in the next 20 years. I hope they won't turn out to be another Monaco.
