That the other day Adama Traore did not get a single minute against Getafe is hard to understand.
Barcelona could have used him with his ability to take players on and his unpredictability. It’s a sign that Xavi has lost confidence in him. Little more than a month ago he was the ace up the coach’s sleeve.
Nine games in a row as a substitute. And four of them without playing a single minute. It’s clear Dembele’s explosion has not helped Adama, with the Frenchman in fine form. But after his hurricane start, four assists in five games, he will be disappointed.
His initial boom has flattened out and he will go back to Wolves on June 30, after the last league game against Villarreal and then the friendly against All-Stars in Australia.
It seems unlikely he will be at Barcelona next season, unless there’s some kind of Trincao swap but that isn’t’t happening bar a Jorge Mendes master work. A sad end for the La Masia born player who could not make his mark at his beloved hometown club.

The reason Traore is not playing with Barcelona is because he was doing good when he first played,so I am sure Barcelona board and Xavi decided that if he continues that was, they would have to pay the full €30M buy out clause, so Xavi reduced his playing time so Adam when won't look like he is on fire and they can negotiate his price or work a better deal at the end of the season with Wolferhamthon. Adama's level was very consistent throughout his 6 months spell, and every time he plays, he performed and was a threat.

Barca will regret letting Traore go they need a guy with his physical abilities and dribbling skills against teams like Real Madrid who now has Mbappe. Traore can cause a lot of problems on the wing for defenders and will send a lot of crosses across the goal from the flank.
