Ralf Rangnick's Manchester United earned a 1-1 draw away to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening, yet Thierry Henry has roundly criticised the team, suggesting that they aren't the Red Devils he knows.
Henry was a member of the Arsenal side of the early-2000s which had a fierce and spectacular rivalry with Manchester United at that time, yet he is clear that the team has gone backward in recent years, and by some margin.
"The way they play is not United, it's not the United I know, I don't know what it is," Henry explained on CBS Sport.
"I don't like usually to have a go at players, but like you said, you had a teacher like Louis van Gaal, then they called Mourinho a dictator because he was too much into this and that.
"Suddenly you have a friend and they like Solskjaer because he was more of a dad and nice guy, but when is it going to be about the players?"
Speaking alongside Henry as part of the broadcast, former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, wondered whether the United squad has become unmanageable.
"Do you think the Manchester United we've seen over the last four or five years are actually unmanageable?" Carragher quizzed.
"We're taking about the structure of a football club, the players they have, they have had five or six managers, some of them have won Champions Leagues.
"You talked about Ajax being your favourite Champions League team, Louis van Gaal was the coach, he's managed Manchester United."

Thank you Thierry Henry, this is the most accurate article written about united, it’s the players that are to blame for these performances, like he said they blamed the managers for all the bad performances not once taking ownership of the way they played, they threw every manager under the bus and now they blame Rangnick because he yells at them and make them train hard, the only way to fix United get rid of at least 50% of the change room, right now they are in there comfort mode don’t put 100% in on game day and take home there big wages put there feet up and don’t give a sh:t about supporters or club, I have yet to see any player put 100% in a game
