Not to take away anything from those guys up there, especially Ronaldo, but you really can't compare WC qualifiers in Europe to the one in South America. If Messi, Suarez, Neymar, and the old legends in Pele, Maradona, played in Europe, they would have scored 50+ goals in those qualifiers. Who would fail to score against Luxembourg, Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Foroe Island....? Of course it isn't as simple as it looks, just look at Ronaldo failing to score in both the Turkey and Macedonia games, but if it is not easy to score against those, imagine how hard it would be to score against Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, such. Football in South America is sth else. People who watch football, and are not biased, can tell.
