Fernando Llorente 87th-minute header earned Tottenham a victory against Watford to maintain their chase of the Premier League's top two.
Match Reports
Late goals from Heung-Min Son and Fernando Llorente rescued a tough week for Tottenham with a 2-1 comeback win over Watford.
Watford took advantage of a Spurs side looking jaded after exiting both domestic cup competitions in the space of four days when Craig Cathcart bundled home from a corner (37).
But the introduction of Lucas Moura at half-time proved the catalyst for a much-improved home performance and Llorente missed an open goal from four yards amid increasing pressure from the hosts.
But he redeemed himself by providing a smart assist for Son to smash home 10 minutes from time before arcing a header into the far corner from Rose's cross (87) for a dramatic winner, which moves Tottenham to within two points of second-placed Manchester City.
Match Events
38'GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Watford (Cathcart)
Holebas' out-swinger is begging for a header in the middle and Cathcart, on the six-yard line, nods it goalwards.
It gets a big deflection off Sanchez to bamboozle Lloris, and Spurs are behind for the third game in a row. A great set-piece goal from Watford, though.
Goal! Tottenham Hotspur 0, Watford 1. Craig Cathcart (Watford) header from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal following a corner.
80'GOAL! Tottenham 1-1 Watford (Son)
Maybe Llorente won't be remembering that miss for too long! He brings down a ball from midfield on the edge of the box and shifts it left to Son. He takes a touch and blasts it beyond a helpless Foster to level up.
This could be a collector's item if we end up with a draw tonight, Spurs haven't had one at home in more than a year.
87'GOAL! Tottenham 2-1 Watford (Llorente)
Fernando, cast away your demons! Llorente's header creeps in at the far post from Rose's hanging cross which Foster barely moves for.
He might have had a tough night but all is forgotten now! What a turnaround by Spurs late on.

Son should use the Messi phone and wear Messi's beard. It really comes in handy.
