Dele Alli has been limited to 74 minutes in the Premier League this season but that does not mean Jose Mourinho will let him leave Spurs.
José Mourinho has hinted Dele Alli might not be doing enough to turn around his situation at Tottenham.
Mourinho addresses Alli impasse
England international Alli has been confined to the margins of Mourinho's squad this season, with only one of his four Premier League appearances coming as a starter.
Those top-flight outings total a meagre 74 minutes overall and, although he has been a more frequent fixture in midweek cup line-ups, reports that the 24-year-old is unhappy hardly come as a surprise.
A reunion with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain has been touted, although Mourinho insisted having disgruntled players in a dressing room is a fact of life for any coach.
However, when distinguishing between unhappy players who "work, work, work and work" and others who think such toil is "not his job", he tellingly did not specify a category for Alli.
"In every dressing room are unhappy players," he told reporters ahead of Sunday's match against the Premier League's bottom club, Sheffield United.
"For sure. If any one of us, of my tribe, tells you that in his dressing room are only happy players, I don't think it's true. Or somebody is so, so lucky to have a miracle in his hands.
"Then you can have [an] unhappy professional and the unhappy professional is the one that is unhappy but feels that his duty is to work, work, work and work.
"And there is the unhappy [player] that believes that it’s not his job to fight and to work every minute for the squad and for the club."
Nevertheless, Mourinho suggested he would probably be reluctant to let Alli leave if Spurs are unable to source a replacement during this transfer window.
"The question is if I let Dele go without getting a player in exchange and I'm not going to answer that," he said.
"It’s not a question that I am comfortable to answer. Of course, I would know how to answer.
"But I am not ready to answer. I am not ready to make public my vision of the situation."

all these mourinho haters commenting things they dont know.... mou only prob with dele is that the guy is lazy and doesn't want to work hard for the team... even in the all or nothing video, he told dele same thing in front of the whole squad... mou doesnt ever want an attacker that doesnt wana work hard (play attack and defence at same time) simple... look at ndombele, he got froze out too.. but he keyed into mou vision for the team and now, mou cant do without him... look at bergwin... very important for mou bcos this guy defends wella... i feel dele has same mentality as Arsenal's $350k a week star that doesnt wana work hard to get himself into the team

The best option will be to let Alli go or send him out on loan. Needless keeping him on the bench. He's still young and bright. I think, with the experience he has gathered from his previous master(MP),he should be playing regularly in Tottenham or another club.
Alli can force his move if he wants to. Diego Costa forced his move in Chelsea. Decision to go or stay rest with the player.

since morinho came to spurs he has never like dele Alli, just because he is good doesn't mean you should destroy his career for him with lack of game time.if you don't like the player for any reason there is a transfer market you sell it's as simple as that stop punishing dele Alli for what he didn't do,if you don't like the player sell him
Why do you people hate Mou? Dele was not playing much for Pochettino before Mou came. When he came Mou tried to encourage him but life outside football will not let him. Who amongst coach will see a player that will deliver for him and not use him? Pls, keep your hatred let Mou build his own team. Dele can force his move if he so wish, nobody can stop him.

delli Alli was playing bad for England and before poch left. Alli has a reputation for being lazy in training. personally though think he has improved, in recently months. Hopefully he has woken up and will work hard.

he had one good season in 2017_18 but never really showed any consistency after that
He was good in his first 3 seasons since joining them (2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18) before he was replaced at Tottenham by his brother[Crylaugh]

the problem with most people is not knowing what to write. in every team their most be disgruntled players,if Ali works hard he will definitely be kept by Jose but the ones playing are better for now and play according to the match plan.
