Tottenham remain determined to tie Christian Eriksen down to a new deal, despite the Dane's reluctance to commit his future to the club encouraging Europe's top sides.
Spurs have been ready to more than double his current £70,000-a-week wages but Eriksen, who scored against Cardiff on Tuesday, has kept his options open.
Barcelona and Real Madrid could both offer significantly greater wages and are admirers of the 26-year-old attacker, whose contract expires in the summer of 2020.
Tottenham believe they can have him sign an extension before the end of this season, when a decision would need to be made on whether to sell.
Dele Alli signed a new £150,000-a-week deal in October while Harry Kane's is worth £200,000, which makes him the best-paid player at the north London club.
Eriksen has shown he is in no hurry to follow his team-mates and talks will continue.
