Tottenham Hotspur defender is reported to be attracting transfer interest throughout Europe as the former record signing enters the final year of his Spurs contract

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is reportedly part of a four-way transfer battle.

Sanchez arrived as the club’s record signing, back in 2017, but has seen his first team opportunities diminish over time, making just eight Premier League starts last term. The Colombian defender has entered the final year of his Spurs contract and could be heading for the exit door this summer.

Dutch outlet Eindhovens Dagblad, via Sport Witness, has stated that Sanchez has been told ‘he can leave’ in the coming months. The report claims that PSV will require a ‘small miracle’ to get a deal over the line due to Sanchez’s wage demands but the club does offer the centre-back a chance to reunite with his former Ajax manager Peter Bosz.

Voetbal International reports that the Dutch giants are being rivalled by Galatasaray and Spartak Moscow for the 27-year-old, with Eindhovens Dagblad also adding Villarreal into the mix. Spurs are said to have set their asking price at €10million (£8.5million), which may force PSV into possibly shuffling the pack after an already active summer window.

Highly-rated winger Noa Lang and USA prospect Ricardo Pepi have both been signed in recent weeks. As a result, Voetbal International claims that star midfielder Ibrahim Sangare may have to be sold in order to free up the funds required to bring Sanchez to the Philips Stadion.
