Tottenham look set to win the race to sign Ivan Perisic on a free transfer after the club made a contract offer to the Croatian forward.

The 33-year-old is out of contract at Inter this summer and the Serie A side want to keep him, but are struggling to reach an agreement as reports in Italy claim that he is asking for a three-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

Spurs have been vying for his signature alongside Chelsea and Juventus, but look to have beaten their rivals to the punch.

According to reports, Tottenham have offered Perisic a two-year deal.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is keen on reuniting with Perisic, as the pair won Serie A together last season at Inter, a year after the Croatian lifted the Champions League title on loan at Bayern Munich.

Conte met with Tottenham's director of football Fabio Paratici on Friday to discuss the club's future under his management, and that he wants to sign several players to bolster the squad.

Perisic is among those, and talks are set to resume and may even be finalised on Monday following the contract offer.

The Croatian has 113 caps for his country and scored in the 2018 World Cup final. He joined Inter in 2015 from Wolfsburg.

Conte has a long wishlist of potential new signings beyond Perisic, which includes his Inter team-mate Alessandro Bastonim Djed Spence and Pau Torres.
