Tottenham transfer problem that Daniel Levy must find solution to

What do buying or loaning clubs do when they see a Premier League side desperate to cut their squad numbers? They wait.

There's a certain irony to that Premier League club being  Tottenham Hotspur  as well because it is a tactic the north London side's chairman  Daniel Levy  is well known for, sitting it out until the later stages of a transfer window for certain targets, either knowing that the player only wants to join them and nobody else or that the selling club will become nervous and drop the price.

It is something Tottenham have moved away from in recent years with more bigger moves done earlier in the summer windows. However, they are now being looked at as a club to use their own old tactic upon.

Spurs could be without six players for Bournemouth

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is set to miss at least four of his players ahead of this weekend's clash against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The one question on every supporter's lips will be whether the club's marquee summer signing, James Maddison, is fit or not to play against the Cherries, having suffered an injury scare following Spurs' 2-0 win over Manchester United last weekend.

Troy Parrott seals transfer

Tottenham striker  Troy Parrott  has completed a season-long loan move to Excelsior Rotterdam.

The 21-year-old has long been regarded as a top prospect for Spurs and heads out on his fifth loan spell away from the club. The Republic of Ireland international has spent time at Millwall, Ipswich, MK Dons and Preston in the EFL but feels he will adapt well to the style of play in the Eredivisie.

”Last week I had discussions with trainer Marinus Dijkhuizen and technical manager Niels van Duinen. The story they told appealed to me. The way Excelsior plays football and the ambitions of the club suit me,” Parrott told the  Excelsior Rotterdam club website.

“I have also got information from others and I think football in the Netherlands is more technical than in the English championship. I think that way of playing football suits me and that's why I think Excelsior is the right choice for me now."
