Tottenham Hotspur have practically abandoned attempts to sign Paulo Dybala after securing a €60m deal for Giovani Lo Celso.
They had made a bid worth €70m, accepted by Juventus, but personal terms were proving a massive problem, just as they had been with Manchester United.
With the Premier League transfer deadline under 24 hours away, there isn’t enough time to work through the many complicated details.
This includes a salary of €12m plus bonuses, €15m commission for his agent and the outstanding legal action from his former agency that could cost €40m.
Instead, Sky Sports UK and others are confident Tottenham agreed a £55m transfer for Real Betis talent Lo Celso.
This effectively terminates their interest in Dybala, who is still wanted by Paris Saint-Germain.

The cost is not worth it. 55mil to people that do not contribute anything to his career is out of order. Agents are just an obstacle to his career progress. By the look of things he is stuck with Juve

Dybala is a financial mess. How did he end up owing 40 mil to former agency? His new agent want 15 mil commission. That will mean he cost 132 mil that is crazy. PSG can waste money on him as they did with Neymar. Spurs must drop him he is not worth it. The guy should get better agents.
