Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Scotland attacker Kirsty Hanson following her impressive 2025-26 Women's Super League campaign with Aston Villa.
Hanson scored 12 goals in 22 WSL matches last season for Villa, who finished ninth and 11 points clear of bottom club Leicester City.
Only Manchester City's Khadija Shaw (21 goals) and Arsenal's Alessia Russo (13) outscored Hanson in 2025-26, with the 28-year-old surpassing double figures in a single WSL season for the first time.
Hanson, who has signed a long-term contract with Spurs after joining for an undisclosed fee, said: "I'm absolutely delighted, it's an exciting time to be a part of this club.
"I'm ready for a new challenge, and I'm always wanting to be better every single day.
"[Head coach] Martin [Ho], the club, the staff, the players are at such an exciting point – and I want to be a part of that."
Hanson joined Villa – initially on loan – in 2022, having helped Manchester United establish themselves in the top flight following their promotion to the top tier in 2019.
Spurs finished fifth in their first campaign under former United assistant Ho, and they are hoping to challenge for Champions League qualification in 2026-27, having also added Shekiera Martinez and Caitlin Dijkstra to their squad.
