Swansea want to solve their defensive crisis by signing Tottenham starlet Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan.
The Welsh club only have one fit centre-half as they begin life in the Championship under new boss Graham Potter following last season's relegation, and have moved for the USA international.
Carter-Vickers is also wanted back at Ipswich, where he spent part of last season and made 17 second-tier starts, and a third Championship side, Sheffield Wednesday.
The 20-year-old has yet to make a league appearance for Spurs with his four games all coming in the cups.

Born and raised in Essex, Carter-Vickers qualifies for the USA through his father Howard, a former professional basketball player.

Can’t play, absolutely useless on the ball between the two boxes BUT he’s good in both boxes and is as strong as an Ox. Good defender and an amazing athlete but has no place in a footballing team

From what it looks like he would probably be better in a 3 with van der hoorn and Joe as people say he makes mistakes and all so maybe if we play him in a back 3 he might be good

I thought he was quality. Proper unit. Made a couple of mistakes that cost goals but otherwise did well.

Swansea currently have 28 Americans, hopefully 29th is the charm

Swansea has two other center-backs on there roster. No joke. He’ll get playing time and hopefully help in a push for promotion if this goes through.

Don’t need Cameron Carter-Vickers when we got the best young Welsh centre half around
