Tottenham's Son Heung-min begins Asian Cup campaign with South Korea

Tottenham star Son Heung-min has launched his Asian Cup campaign with South Korea, helping them to a 2-0 Group C win over China on Wednesday.

Son arrived after missing South Korea's first two games of the competition in the United Arab Emirates while playing for Spurs in recent weeks.

He was thrust straight into action at the Al Nahyan Stadium though, earning a penalty and setting up another goal in a routine win over their Chinese opponents.

It is Son's third international tournament in less than a year.

After playing at the World Cup, Son missed the first part of the English season while playing for South Korea at the Asian Games. He led the team to the title, securing exemption from military service.
